THE 2008 season at Beverley Racecourse is now into its closing stages with three meetings left to take place this month.
The first of those will take place next Tuesday, September 9, with the first of seven races getting under way at 2pm.

The feature race of the afternoon will be the £15,000 Bay, Filey, Premier Coastal Holiday Village Handicap over the extended mile, supported by Essential Vivendi.

Other features will include the Weatherbys Printing Handicap over a mile and a quarter, supported by one of the country’s leading racing sponsors who provide a range of admin and commercial services to the industry.

And lady amateur jockeys will have another chance to shine on the Westwood in the closing mile and a quarter handicap, which has again been sponsored by Sawfish Software of York.

As usual, the giant screen will be in use helping racegoers to follow all of the action on the track.

The remaining meetings at Beverley this season take place on Wednesday September 17 and Tuesday September 23.
